Jennifer Maguire joined Roxborough, Pomerance Nye & Adreani LLP with a wealth of litigation and trial experience in both the civil and criminal context. Ms. Maguire worked for five years as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois. There, she prosecuted high-stakes criminal cases such as money laundering, narcotics trafficking and distribution, wire fraud, bank robberies, sex trafficking, and aggravated identity theft.
As a prosecutor, she completed over 20 federal criminal trials and over 40 sentencing hearings. Ms. Maguire also has significant experience in employment litigation, representing plaintiffs in wage and hour cases throughout the state of California in both federal and state courts.
Ms. Maguire began her legal career as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General’s Corp of the United States Navy, serving six years on active duty. During this time, she worked in criminal law as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney as well as serving as a legal advisor to Commanding Officers in both ethics and regulatory compliance. She still serves in the U.S. Navy Reserves, as a Lieutenant Commander in the JAG Corps.
Ms. Maguire lives in Los Angeles with her husband and young son. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in the hills and making music with her husband in their home studio.
