RPNA SUCCESSFULLY CERTIFIES TWO CLASS ACTIONS BEFORE LA COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT

Los Angeles, CA —RPNA recently was successful in certifying two class actions in front of the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The first class action was to certify a class of approximately 10,000 individuals who had been denied meal and rest breaks by one of the largest security firms in the country.

The firm was successful in convincing the judge that these individuals should bring their claims for meal and rest break wages as a class action as that would be the most advantageous means by which to redress the grievances.

Within a few months thereafter, RPNA successfully certified a class of over 600,000 automobile insurance policyholders against 21st Century Insurance who were overcharged their premiums because they lacked prior insurance at the time they bought their policies with 21st Century. Over a vigorous opposition, the judge granted class certification, again finding that bringing this matter as a class action would be a superior means to resolve the issue.
