With all of the health and employee issues at the top of everyone’s mind, it isn’t hard to miss the minimum wage increases taking effect on July 1, 2020. And the last thing anyone needs right now is a minimum wage violation.
Effective July 1, 2020, minimum wage will increase in 14 California localities. Additionally, updated minimum wage postings are required on that date at each workplace or job-site. The localities with increases include:
• Los Angeles City
• Los Angeles County
• San Francisco
• San Leandro
• Santa Monica
• Santa Rosa
If you have employees in multiple locations, or employees traveling to different locations, it can be hard to keep up with the multiple minimum wage ordinances and other local employment obligations.
